I was sent to Barebones because they were covered under my MaxCare warranty. They completed the repairs, but they did not properly connect a sensor. The sensor caused my ABS, Emergency break, and check engine light to come on (the very next day which was after 5 on a Friday). The steering was tightened and hard to drive. They were closed that weekend so I had to take my vehicle to another shop to have this repaired and pay out of pocket for their mistake. I had already missed work for a week due to them taking so long to complete the repairs, so I needed to have this fixed by Monday. When I spoke with them about it they Basically said since I didn't bring it to their shop, I was responsible. I expressed that I would've brought it there, but they are closed on the weekend. I asked "so since you all were closed, I have to pay for your mistake?". He then said "since we carry your warranty I will just help you out next time". I told him I didn't want there to be a next time, so can he reimburse me. He refused to reimburse me for their mistake.
Danette, it's unfortunate that we couldn't do more to help out, though we tried to do our best. We appreciate reading this feedback, as this helps us to make the necessary improvements moving forward. If you ever need anything else, we're here to help. -Stephen R, Manager
